Motorways of the Sea Conference
EFFICIENT SHIPPING OPERATIONS – TRANSPORT AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT, SAFETY AND THE HUMAN ELEMENT
Invitation to the Motorways of the Sea Conference on Efficient shipping operations “Transport and Traffic Management, safety and the Human element”
The Conference will take place in Venice, Italy, on the 25-26 of March. Starting at 09.30 day 01 and ending at 13.00 day02.
Under the global objective of making transport at sea very efficient whilst environmentally sustainable we’ll be listening to Industry projects co-funded via MoS under TEN-T. It is expected that our stakeholders share with us their experiences and prospective views so that the EU framework for Motorways of the Sea can be upgraded and be continuously able to meet the needs of themaritime transport sector.
Finally, the possibilities offered by the new Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) and the on-going process for Calls for proposals as well as the new financing perspectives (“Juncker Plan”) will also be addressed. When tackling the issue of efficiency of Maritime Transport all possible approaches e.g. Sea Traffic Management, evacuation and passenger management in large Ro-Paxes, will be addressed. New Technical approaches will also be presented and finally, the follow-up of the Conference in Gothenburg will be discussed (namely on the reduction of emissions).
